Grillfish

(photo from the Grillfish website)

The dinner here is fantastic! Great fresh fish (the grilled Mahi Mahi is fantastic), and delicious sauteed spinach! YUM!

Grillfish can get a bit noisy, but the food is well worth it.

From their website:
"Grillfish…the concept...is a casual, moderately-priced restaurant, specializing in fresh, grilled seafood and deliciously-sauced pasta. The restaurant is dominated by its “signature” oversized, floor-to-ceiling, erotic mural extending the entire wall behind the large stone bar. A definite conversation piece. The bar is ornately decorated with massive mirrors, large columns and a multitude of glowing candles. These, along with the open kitchen where flames leap from the grill, create a warmth and intimacy in a casual atmosphere."

Thanks, Keeg, for the great recommendation. Grillfish is a short walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro station. The food and service is very good. All fish is cooked medium rare, which means it could reach your plate cold and pinkish red inside. If you like flaky fish, then you'll need to specify a longer cooking time. Prices are reasonable. Grillfish has a small footprint so you'll want to get there early---and a reservation is highly recommended!
