Bistrot du Coin, located on the upper end of Dupont Circle on Connecticut, is a great neighborhood resto in the heart of Washington, DC. Their motto is "French, Fun and Friendly, with "good food at a fair price."
Quoted from their website:
The origin of Bistrot is Russian. In Russian Bistrot means "Quick". That's why a guest can expect to get fast service. The color of a real Bistrot is pale yellow to brown (otherwise known as Bistre) because in French cafes the walls get dirty quickly from nicotine. Bistrot du Coin means a neighborhood Bistrot.
